The January meeting of the Roundtable is at noon on Thursday, January 16th, at the downtown Capital City Club. This meeting is for Roundtable members only.
We are pleased to have as speaker Joseph Crespino, the Jimmy Carter Professor of History at Emory University.
An award-winning author, distinguished lecturer, and TEDx speaker, Dr. Crespino will speak with us about President Carter’s legacy. His recently published obituary of President Carter in The Nation opens with this tantalizing lead: “It is remarkable that Jimmy Carter and Martin Luther King Jr.—two sons of Georgia born within five years of each other, both Nobel Prize laureates whose Christian faith inspired lives of moral leadership—never met.”
Dr. Crespino’s most recent book is Atticus Finch: The Biography; click here for the fascinating TEDx talk.
